History
City Towbars is a small family business in Brisbane, QLD Australia, that began in 1994. It was started by City Hire due to a demand from customers who wished to hire equipment.
However they did not have a towbar to tow the equipment with so this led to City Hire branching out to fulfil a need. City Towbars first began operating from the same building as City Hire in Kelvin Grove.
City Towbars out grew the Kelvin Grove location in 2000 and moved to their present location at Stafford. City Towbars only had 3 staff in 2000 and by 2002 had 4 staff.
City Towbars was among the first companies to offer a "Mobile Fitting Service".
In June 2003 City Towbars was sold to the current owners. The company has grown in size and expanded occupying the 2003 building and the building next door.
